Google Autocomplete knows

Want to know who the twelfth President of United States was? Google it! Need to convert inches into yards? Google it! Looking to learn a new recipe or trying to solve a math problem? That’s right…Google it!

This is just how overly dependent our lives have become on the world’s largest search engine. So much that we cannot imagine living without it. While Google already answers almost all of our questions, it also helps us in asking our questions as well. Through its Autocomplete feature, Google allows us to quickly search for information by recommending a list of suggestions for what we are typing or going to type in real-time.

Over the years, Google Autocomplete has become widely infamous for its weird and sometimes bizarre search suggestions. Recently, I read this interesting article on Mashable that graphically illustrated what every US State wants according to Google Autocomplete. The results were ridiculously funny and somewhat true in a few cases like “Hawaii wants Independence”, “Florida wants to know” and “New York wants your guns”.

What Do Top 10 Brands Want? Google Autocomplete tells us

The Mashable post made me wonder if Google can tell what top brands want. We as consumers fall for one thing or another, either product or brand, not hard to know. But ever wondered what our beloved brands want?

In order to find that out, I took a list of top 10 brands (according to Interbrand) and ran the search. As expected, the results were funny and ridiculous in most cases. See for yourself. I have also added a brief commentary on each of my favorite suggestions.

*P.S. I didn’t get any auto complete results for Coca-Cola (I guess Google isn’t a fan of Coke) so I swapped it with Disney.
